Zenith’s new biocidal detergent achieves certification
30 Nov 2010
This product has been developed by Zenith Hygiene Group’s research and development department under the guidance of Tony Clough, our Technical Director, and Dr Sandra Rountree. The certification of this product now puts our company way ahead of our competitors in the approach to disinfecting potentially foul and infected linen at low temperature, with proven bug kill and without affecting wash results.
To offer bug kill at low temperature, 40oc for 10 minutes. Certification has been obtained for the removal of bacterial and sporicidal activity of Clostridium difficile and the removal of bactericidal strains of Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureas,(MRSA).
This certification allows the Zenith Group to offer 11U Ultra laundry detergent to all environments where potentially foul and infected work is processed. Some examples are:-
- NHS Hospital laundries
- Private hospital laundries
- Commercial laundries
- Nursing homes laundries
- Private care laundries
- Prison laundries
- Abattoir laundries
- Vetinery laundries
To be automatically dispensed and levels set depending on water conditions. Laundry peroxide destainer is no longer required, hence the removal of a hazardous product. However, in cases of extremely hard water, the use of alkali is still advised. If an establishment prefers not to use the alkali, due to its hazardous nature, then the detergent will need to be dosed at a 50% increase.
