Stanley Fink Chairman

The Lord Fink of Northwood in the County of Middlesex was officially ennobled on 18 January 2011 when the patent for his name was formally approved by the Queen. He took his seat in the House of Lords on 20 January 2011.

From Manchester Grammar School, Stanley went to Cambridge where he studied law. First training as a chartered accountant with Arthur Andersen, he moved to join Man Group plc in 1987 where he became Deputy Chairman of the Group, only stepping down in July 2008 after a career spanning more than 21 years. 

At the end of Stanley’s tenure, Man had a stock market capitalisation of US$20 billion and managed alternative assets of US$80 billion. 

In September 2008, Stanley joined ISAM (International Standard Asset Management), a new hedge fund group, as CEO. He is also Chairman of Earth Capital Partners LLP – an environmental fund management firm. 

He is a committed philanthropist whose focus is health, education and the environment. His roles include being a Trustee and Chairman of ARK (Absolute Return for Kids), a Trustee of the Mayor’s Fund for London and he was Chairman of the 2009 Lord Mayor’s Appeal.

Stanley is currently Treasurer of the Conservative Party.
